LEGAL WATCHDOG GROUP FILES COMPLAINT AGAINST SEAN HANNITY AND OLLIE NORTH: "
Sean Hannity week is starting off a little rough. First his dog Snowball died today (to paraphrase NewsHounds.us' Ellen, why are we not surprised his dog was white?), and now there's yet another group that wants to know what is up with his Freedom Concerts - only they are filing papers. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a liberal watchdog group run by Mealanie Sloan, former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia and one of outed CIA agent Valerie Plame's attorneys, has filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the Internal Revenue Service, charging that Hannity and Former Lt. Col. Oliver North of deceptive marketing practices. This, as many already know, stems from the issue we broke in 2007 - how of the millions of dollars that Hannity's Freedom Concerts generated for Ollie North's organization Freedom Alliance, those who they said were going to benefit from their efforts - families of injured soldiers - have only received a sliver of those millions. Conservative commentator Debbie Schlussel picked up on the issue sometime last year and published her concerns earlier this month. This year's Freedom Concerts are supposed to start on Aug. 6 at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ, and we have a feeling that they are not going to go off without a hitch as they have in years' past. So if Hannity is missing his poor dog Snowball, he might not for long considering his troubles are about to snowball too."
