TROP Report

A website known as thereligionofpeace.com (TROP) is a site run by someone calling himself Glen Reinsford, of Marietta, GA, who is a well known racist. This article will explore the history of the site and debunk his claims, showing how his hypocrisy, exaggeration, assumptions, deliberately ignoring facts, and manipulating information result in his knowingly trying to fool other people into believing the false information he posts. We have previously listed some peripheral information about the TROP site, and shown its author using lies to try to manipulate gullible readers; this report will go into specific details of the deception and racism of the TROP site.

7/16/2009:  UPDATED: New information has been developed in the past six months that conclusively shows "Glen Reinsford" is in reality Peter Oliver, who lives on Highland Club Dr. in Marietta GA.  Oliver also goes by the name of Linda Lucile Oliver, and a lengthy list of both male and female names. Oliver has a criminal history of 55 convictions for robbery, felonious assault, burglary, theft, bad checks, etc., and a few stints in prison, all for which we have the documentation.  We also have Oliver's bankruptcy filing where he lists himself as "Peter Oliver, also known as Linda Lucile".  Mr. Oliver is a self-employed locksmith for a company called "AA 24 Hour AAA Locksmith." It's easy enough to find Oliver's correct address in the Marietta, GA telephone listings under the locksmith company's name, as he works out of his home.

We offered Mr./Mrs. Oliver a chance to comment for this update, and there was no response.

PART 1: HISTORY OF TROP

The site was created on 21 Nov 2002, and currently shows an IP address of 208.109.162.119. The current server's information is as follows:

On 5 Oct 2006, this site's registration was changed to GoDaddy, most likely in an attempt to achieve some level of anonymity.

PART 2: HYPOCRISY

In the internet archive copy of the original website of thereligionofpeace.com, one can find a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page that is interesting. It states:

Why did you create this site?

We were inspired by the on-going rate of violence in the Islamic world and the unwillingness of Muslims to acknowledge it. We believe that the two are related and feel that a broader awareness of the true magnitude of the violence occurring in the name of Allah may eventually influence Muslims into addressing their own problems, which will benefit everyone in the long run.

Do you accept donations?

No. This is not a profit-motivated site. We do not take advertising and will refuse any and all contributions.

Well, that didn’t hold up for long. The site is heavily reliant on donations at this point, and Reinsford recently pointed out to me that this is his sole source of income; he claims the recent drop in rankings has been followed by a major drop in donations, to the point where he is facing bankruptcy.

PART 3: MAJOR LIES AND RACISM:

Note that right from the beginning, Glen condemns all Muslims, instead of noting that it is the extremists who commit the terrorist acts:

Indeed, Muslims make up just 20% of the world's population, yet 96% of the most serious international conflicts involve at least one Muslim party. In the last decade more than 80% of the deaths from terrorist attacks world-wide have come at the hands of Muslims. The religiously inspired violence is taking place in every country where Islam is practiced, with a frequency too intense to ignore.
Yet, perhaps most disturbing has been the attitude of the Islamic world to the violence, even in America. In the aftermath of 9-11, Muslim American representatives were quick to issue terse, carbon-copy denunciations to offset the shocking news footage of Muslims overseas celebrating the carnage. Yet it was not long before even casual observers began to notice that Muslim Americans seem far more interested in airing their own grievances over perceived slights than in convincing the rest of the Islamic world that America is not a legitimate target for terrorism.

(Note the statement: ”In the last decade more than 80% of the deaths from terrorist attacks world-wide have come at the hands of Muslims”. Even Reinsford’s own “statistics” don’t go back a decade, he only goes back to 2001. His preposterous claim is completely disproven with factual statistics from a far more reliable source at the National Counterterrorism Center, which shows, for example, 71,378 terrorist incidents between 1/1/2004 and 12/7/2007, of which 6,182 were motivated by Muslim religious extremism, equaling 8.66%, NOT the 80% that Reinsford erroneously claims. See Parts 4 & 5 of this report for specifics.)

(Also note that even though Reinsford is well aware of the more than 4,200 condemnations from Muslim leaders worldwide, - compiled at http://facts-not-fear.blogspot.com/ - he continues his fraudulent claim that these leaders and their condemnations don’t exist.)

We do not believe in stereotyping individuals of any religion, particularly one as diverse as Islam, but the next time you hear someone refer to this ideology as "The Religion of Peace", direct them to this site and explain that every person on this list lost their life or was maimed by individuals vocally inspired by this religion.

(Note: Reinsford is making the very erroneous assumption that every one of these attacks were committed by Islamist terrorists and that they were motivated by religion. Once again, at the far more reliable site, the National Counterterrorism Center, it is easy to see that a significant number of these attacks have no known motive, or were tribal rivalries, had criminal motives, some were motivated by personal revenge, ethnic strife, battles over control of resources, or over land. Reinsford makes the huge mistake of assuming he can read minds, and that he can tell that every act of violence committed anywhere in the world by someone who happens to be Muslim is motivated by the religion Reinsford hates.)

Yes, there are exceptional Muslims whose faith gives them character. They are the tiny handful of Muslim-Americans, for example, who choose to tell the rest of the world that America is not a legitimate target for terrorism, rather than using their influence to complain of petty grievances in a country that has bent over backwards to tolerate their faith. Sadly the vast global majority are decidedly apathetic to the violence, which occurs far too often in too many parts of the globe to be incidental to the religion itself. Where's the outrage? Where's the introspection?

(Note: According to the recent Pew Forum poll, 99% of Muslim-Americans do not in any way support terrorism, which completely refutes Reinsford’s faulty assumption. Additionally, a recent UK poll showed that more Muslims condemn terrorism than do members of all other religions combined! Also note, just the fact that Reinsford states Americans “tolerate their faith” shows him to be a racist.)

Reinsford claims he will not stereotype and within the very same paragraph he stereotypes. Yet he wonders why this site is generally considered as "racist."

On the aboutus registration information page for the TROP site, this is the description given by Reinsford:

Description

Ever since 9/11, Americans and others have been asking, "Who are Muslims and why do they want to kill me?" Western leaders have responded by insisting that Islam is a Religion of Peace. This is a line that is parroted from some Islamic clerics (presumably the ones who aren't calling for Jihad). But what does this mean?
Peace can have two different meanings. Westerners usually think of peace as being free to live one's life as one pleases, and allowing others the freedom to do the same.
But peace is also a condition that can be brought about through subjugation, in which unbelievers are brought under the domination of Islam to live meekly as dhimmis. Regrettably, this is the sort of peace that the Qur'an and Hadiths (the Islamic traditions) teach.

Note that even in this description, Reinsford condemns Muslims (as a class of people) in the very first sentence.

On another well known hate site: Family Security Matters, where Reinsford is listed as an “Associate Editor”, Reinsford writes:

Of the fifty-three Islamic nations on the planet, there is hardly a single one that isn’t characterized by some combination of debilitating corruption, economic blight, third-world standard of living, political repression, or an appalling human rights condition.

Unfortunately, Glen is showing his ignorance here. There are, in reality, quite a number of Muslim countries that are among the richest countries in the world, without “debilitating corruption, third-world standard (sic) of living… (or) appalling human rights condition (sic).”

Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain all have very high standards of living, modern health care, and are headquarters to some of the world’s largest corporations, including American corporations. Malaysia is the largest Muslim country in the world, and it has a democracy, a woman president, a thriving economy, no record of political repression and a good human rights record. India, while not a specifically Muslim country, has the second largest number of Muslims in any one country, and it is the world’s largest democracy.

In the same article, Reinsford is strongly against allowing Muslim immigrants into the US, claiming:

“Beyond flirting with cultural catastrophe, there is also the loss of American lives resulting from the domestic terror attacks that will certainly escalate as the U.S. inexplicably imports a fifth column in a time of war. “

In the real world, mainstream Muslims are working to increase interfaith efforts, to increase understanding and communications between the various religions, and condemning and battling terrorism and violence. However, this is hardly reflected in the various articles that Reinsford publishes on his site, where he promotes every negative stereotype possible about Muslims and Islam. From:

The Muslims who wrote the letter to the pope used a bit of trickery to disguise what the Qur'an really says about co-existence with Christians.

Reinsford also authors the site http://www.cairbaby.com/ which is an outright attack site on Muslim-Americans and the religion of Islam. The site contains outright lies and depends on the readers’ ignorance of Islam and geopolitical situations. For example, the site condemns the genocide of the citizens of Darfur by “the Islamic Republic of Sudan” and calls it “Jihad genocide”. In truth, the conflict is various tribes at war with each other and with their weak, almost non-existent government. Everyone in Sudan is Muslim, so “Jihad” in the “holy war” sense the Reinsford uses the term, is a complete lie here. The various tribes that have been the object of attacks and killings (chiefly the Fur, Massalit and Zaghawa tribes) do not appear to make up ethnic groups distinct from the ethnic group to which persons or militias that attack them belong. They speak the same language (Arabic) and embrace the same religion (Islam). On the same site, we see several examples of illustrations by Reinsford claiming that CAIR has not condemned the violence in Darfur.

He is referring to CAIR, claiming they have not condemned the extreme violence in the Sudan. However, he ignores the condemnation at http://www.sudan.net/news/press/postedr/304.shtml (from August 2004!) and this condemnation at http://www.pairlist.net/pipermail/cair-ny-announce/2004-August/000249.html and CAIR’s criticism of not enough Muslims being involved in condemning the civil war in Darfur, found at http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-15059203_ITM

At the bottom of the main page of the http://www.cairbaby.com/ site is a disclaimer, as follows:

Important Note from the Folks Behind this Site:
CAIR may be the epitome of selfish indifference towards those outside one's own race or religion, but that doesn't mean that your Muslim neighbor or co-worker shares their narcissism... so please don't be an ass. The Muslims that you know in your private life mean you no harm and deserve no abuse from you, verbal or otherwise.
Islam is interpreted in different ways and followed to different degrees. No Muslim should be harassed or harmed anywhere in the world because of his or her religion. Every Muslim should be treated as an individual and judged only by his or her own words and deeds.
Who knows - maybe your Muslim neighbor shares your distaste for CAIR's moral distortion and incessant whining - particularly since the organization reflects negatively on all Muslim Americans, including good-hearted ones.

However, above that disclaimer are illustrations by Reinsford claiming that Muhammad and his followers are responsible for "sex, lies and a stack of dead bodies", another illustration titled "Got Qur'an? showing a supposed Muslim terrorist with a Qur'an in one hand and a knife in the other;and other blatantly anti-Muslim, anti-Islamic illustrations.

Update: 7/16/2009: Reinsford's CAIRBaby site has been permanently removed by his host company.

Then, at a subpage, found at http://www.cairbaby.com/pages/how_to_be_a_Muslim.htm Reinsford instructs people in “how to be a Muslim” using the most vile, insulting terms possible, including portraying Muhammad as a thief, a murderer and a pervert. 

Are the above examples of his disclaimer against harassing Muslims? Or are they examples of his rampant hypocrisy and racism? I’d say the latter. Of course, Reinsford uses the racist lie that “racism” cannot include a religion, hoping that his readers are either not up on the current terminology (in which “race” is currently defined by cultural differences, not biological differences), or he is relying on his followers’ ignorance.

PART 4: THE INFAMOUS “LIST”

Reinsford maintains a listing of what he claims to be accurate statistics on terrorist attacks, claiming they are all committed by Muslims, and motivated by their religious extremism. He vouches for his list’s accuracy, claiming he doesn’t want to make mistakes.

Of his List, Glen writes:

Weekly Jihad Report Nov. 24 - Nov. 30 Jihad Attacks: 37 Dead Bodies: 178 Critically Injured: 249

On the same page, Reinsford shows a small chart with a listing of his "Monthly Jihad Report" for November 2007, in which he shows 203 "Jihad Attacks", with 1138 "dead bodies" and 1358 "critically injured". (view it yourself at his site.)

This shows that Reinsford classifies all acts of violence where the perpetrator is allegedly a Muslim, as his definition of “Jihad” (religiously based terrorism or “holy war”.)

Reinsford misstates the situation in Iraq, classifying all acts of violence committed by insurgents, organized crime, gangs, tribal feuds, criminals, and sectarian strife over oil rights, land, local rule, new laws, food shortages, control of infrastructure, etc., as acts of “Islamic terrorists.” While it is true that AQII is a named terrorist organization, the aforementioned are not. Other incidents are acts of violence that may be acts of terror, but not of terrorism. Unless one can prove the motivation to be targeting civilians with acts of extreme violence as part of an effort to change the political system, an act of violence cannot be properly identified as terrorism.

A side note here: Reinsford condemns the site IraqBodyCount.net as an anti-war, anti-American propaganda site that doesn’t want to tell the truth about casualties in Iraq, saying at http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Articles/Iraqbodycount.htm :

But, enter IraqBodyCount.net, an anti-war organization that was envisioned even before the Iraq War began, with the heady ambition of documenting each and every victim of American aggression in order to turn public opinion against the action to remove Saddam (let's just say they aren't too concerned about the hundreds of mass graves unearthed from the Ba'athist era).

However, Reinsford then uses what the above article claims to be false statistics from IraqBodyCount in the left hand sidebar found at http://thereligionofpeace.com/ , where he writes:

As of 12/6/2007, Reinsford claims to have tracked 10146 "Islamic terrorist attacks since 9/11/01" (again showing he classifies everything as an Islamic terrorist attack):

However, in this listing (found about ¾ of the way down the main page of his website), he presents no links to verification, and exposes the major flaw in his List – he assumes the motive of every act of violence in a country where Muslims live is an act of terrorism, an act of militant Jihad. In his archives of (allegedly) over 10,000 attacks, there is not a single link to verification of any of the details included in the list, to verify that they ever happened, or that they were indeed committed by Muslim terrorists in an act of militant Jihad. Not once, in over 10,000 opportunities, did Reinsford provide any substantiation of his claims. Yet, interestingly, his fellow racists take his list as if it were Gospel, never questioning anything on it, and ascribe to it an accuracy reserved for God, when in point of fact it has the accuracy of anything out of the mouth of Satan or a used car salesman: it is nothing more than 10,000 events with an assumed motive, with not a single link to show the events even happened.

About the List of Terrorist Attacks

This list, of over 10,000 terrorist attacks committed by Muslims since 9/11/01 (a rate of about three or four a day), is incomplete because only a small percentage of attacks were picked up by international news sources, even those resulting in multiple loss of life.
These are not incidents involving nominal Muslims killing for money or personal pride. We include attacks that can reasonably be determined to have been committed by Muslims out of religious duty - as interpreted by the perpetrator.
We usually list only attacks that result in loss of life (with a handful of exceptions). In several cases, the victims are undercounted because deaths from trauma caused by the Islamists may occur in later days, despite the best efforts of medical personnel to keep the victims alive.
We usually don't include incidents related to combat, such as in Iraq and Afghanistan, unless it involves particularly heinous terrorist tactics. Unprovoked sniper, drive-by or roadside bombing attacks on military personnel serving normal police duties are sometimes included depending on the circumstances.
Unfortunately, this list of Muslim terrorist attacks barely scratches the surface of atrocities committed in the name of Islam that occur world-wide each day. For that reason, we don't tally up the dead and dismembered, except on a weekly and monthly basis.

However, reviewing (at a glance) the 9/11/01 - 2003 deaths listed by Reinsford, http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/attacks-2001-2003.htm one can quickly see that the list is top-heavy with US combat deaths, in direct contradiction to his statement. Artificially inflating his list, or just a continuation of his “misstatements”?

A couple of typical examples of where the motive is assumed, thus causing a fatal flaw to any accuracy in Reinsford’s list (these are at the list referenced in the link immediately above):

12/29/03 India Bamkote 1 0 A man is pulled from his house and killed just outside his village.

How would Reinsford know that this unidentified man was killed by Islamic terrorists, motivated by religious fervor? Obviously, he cannot know, based on this minuscule amount of information, but he assumes the motive. Again:

12/28/03 India Surigam 1 0 A man is lynched by Islamists.

11/27/03 India Srinagar 1 12 One person was killed, and twelve others injured when militants hurl a grenade into a busy intersection.

10/11/03 India Nagbal 1 0 A man is abducted from his home and killed in captivity by the Mujahideen.

PART 5: COMPARING TROP STATISTICS TO FACTS

Why is it a mistake for Reinsford to assume the motive for these acts of violence, or even assume they were committed by Muslims? To answer that, let’s look at an official charting of terror acts (note the difference between “terror acts” and “acts of terrorists”) compiled by the National Counterterrorism Center’s Worldwide Incidents Tracking System (NCTC) at the direction of the President and Congress, and found at in its raw form at http://www.hddweb.com/95376/Copy_of_NCTC_Data_International_Terrorist_Events.xls . 

This vast database provides an authoritative and deeply researched list of incidents worldwide, occurring between 1/1/2004 and 12/7/2007, which have the potential to be terrorist incidents, once the motive and responsible parties are determined.

In August 2004, the President established the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) to serve as the primary organization in the United States Government (USG) for integrating and analyzing all intelligence pertaining to terrorism and counterterrorism (CT) and to conduct strategic operational planning by integrating all instruments of national power. In December 2004, Congress codified the NCTC in the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act (IRTPA) and placed the NCTC in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Located at the Liberty Crossing Building in Northern Virginia, the NCTC is a multi-agency organization dedicated to eliminating the terrorist threat to US interests at home and abroad.

In this government database, we find (in just this 4 year period) 71,378 incidents worldwide. These include bombings, armed attacks, car bombs, assassinations, suicide bombings, firebombings, assaults, kidnappings, and arson. This database verifies – where possible – the motive of the perpetrator and the group responsible for the attack(s), and classifies them accordingly.

As shown above, the majority of these attacks are classified as “Unknown” meaning either the perpetrator or the motive for the attack, or both, remain unknown. This does NOT show over 10,000 Muslim terrorist attacks, as the TROP List shows, and points to a major flaw in Reinsford’s methodology. 71,378 terrorist incidents between 1/1/2004 and 12/7/2007, of which 6,182 were motivated by Muslim religious extremism, equaling 8.66%, NOT the 80% that Reinsford erroneously claims.

Warning, it is 1772 pages long and you will need Excel to read it. Also note that some incidents are listed more than once if there were multiple motives or multiple parties involved. In the more detailed DB, you will find that of 28,755 incidents against persons and facilities, only 1,618 were credited to Muslim religious extremism, and again the vast majority - 17,040, being classified as “unknown.” The 2^nd highest number – 9,869, were classified as committed by Secular/Political/Anarchist groups. In this, more extensive list (because it also includes attacks on individuals) we see that the NCTC has verified only 5.62% were caused by Muslim religious extremists, a far cry from Reinsford’s claim of 80%. 

This proves the major and fatal fault of Reinsford’s “List”, where he assumes the motivation for each and every act of violence to be Islamic religious extremism. As shown in the chart from the NCTC, the majority of the incidents do not have a known motivation or group taking credit for the attack. Many others are perpetrated for secular, political, anarchist, tribal, clan and ethnic motivations, or by non-Muslim groups.

PART 6: THE EFFECTS OF READERS AND OTHERS REALIZING TROP IS A HATE SITE:

According to Alexa, the TROP site’s rankings are down about 8% in the past three months, and the site has dropped 5,842 places in traffic ranking.

Despite Reinsford’s plea for help to his fellow hate mongers, in which he blames me for these ratings, we can see here that Websense (Surf Control) wrote to state that his site was independently evaluated, not on my suggestion, but on the basis of the graphically violent content he posts on his site.

PART 7: WHO IS GLEN REINSFORD?

Who is this mysterious Glen Reinsford, who claims he needs to hide his identity in order to avoid being killed for his “criticism” of Islam? Noting that he doesn’t work very hard to hide the name Glen Reinsford, I did some checking. When Reinsford complained to me that his site’s being on the blocked or banned list for violence and hate speech was pushing him close to bankruptcy, I decided to check and see how many ways Reinsford was making money from his site. 

Reinsford may be making some money from the single book he wrote, called The Age of Tolerance, in which Al Gore won the 2000 election and decided on tolerance instead of war. Glen quickly takes the subject from a fictional scenario into a condemnation of all forms of tolerance. For some reason, Glen felt it necessary to use 576 pages in his book to show his racism, when anyone can see it in one page on his website. The publisher, The Yukon Group, began in business on 7/21/2005, and its phone number of 678-457-1506 is listed to a Cell phone with Sprint as its carrier. The Yukon Group has never published any other books, before or since. They use a PO Box address. The owner’s name on the business license is Pete Oliver, however, there is no Pete Oliver listed in Atlanta, GA, or Marietta, GA, where Glen Reinsford lives. Dun & Bradstreet and Hoover’s shows no businesses operating under this name or owner. It would not be unreasonable to conclude that this is a wholly fictitious company, owned and operated by Glen, for the sole purpose of self-publishing his book. The PO Box used by The Yukon Group is the exact same box being used by Reinsford for his solicitation of funds.

According to the book’s Amazon site, “Glen Reinsford is originally from Kotzebue, Alaska.” However, in checking with officials in this very small town (pop. 3,000) including the manager of the Post Office, the archives of the local newspaper, the principal of the local high school, the town historian and the police department; all sources confirm that there is not now nor ever has been anyone named Reinsford living in Kotzebue, Alaska. So a search for “Reinsford” was a complete blank in his alleged hometown. 

His recent job history, web site registration and IP address show him to be currently in or around Atlanta, GA. In running a check of records for the entire state of Georgia, there is no record of any Glen Reinsford, including drivers’ license, motor vehicle titles, any type of professional licensing, court records, birth certificates, marriage licenses, phone, electric, gas, heating oil or cable records, voter’s registration, mortgage records, UCC records, corporate records, tenant records, cell phone records, tax records, or GBI records. His former employer says she never checked to verify his identity. Reinsford uses BellSouth for his email ISP, yet BellSouth has no record of any subscriber by the name of Glen Reinsford. Once again, a thorough check in his allegedly current hometown – using the identity of “Glen Reinsford” comes up completely empty. I had to be more creative to find who the author of this site really is. 

The author of the TROP site claims he maintains anonymity because he’s scared that “Jihadists” will target and kill him. In point of fact, no American blogger, (no matter how virulently they show anti-Muslim racism) has been attacked, harmed or killed. It is far more likely that the author is more afraid of the District Attorney discovering his assets and seizing them for the back child support than he is of “Jihadists”.

7/16/2009:  UPDATED: New information has been developed in the past six months that conclusively shows "Glen Reinsford" is in reality Peter Oliver, who lives on Highland Club Dr. in Marietta GA.  Oliver also goes by the name of Linda Lucile Oliver, and a lengthy list of both male and female names. Oliver has a criminal history of 55 convictions for robbery, felonious assault, burglary, theft, bad checks, etc., and a few stints in prison, all for which we have the documentation.  We also have Oliver's bankruptcy filing where he lists himself as "Peter Oliver, also known as Linda Lucile".  Mr. Oliver is a self-employed locksmith for a company called "AA 24 Hour AAA Locksmith."

We offered Mr./Mrs. Oliver a chance to comment for this update, and there was no response.

PART 8: CONCLUSION

The TROP site is accurately classified as a racist site, in that it clearly contains multiple examples of anti-Muslim racism. The infamous “List” on the site, taken as completely accurate by other anti-Muslim racists, is actually fatally flawed, as proven above, and thus carries zero credibility. Even the reason for its fatal flaw shows the author’s racism, where he assumes the motive for every act of violence allegedly committed by a Muslim is that of religious extremism. The site’s author, trying to hide his identity, is Peter Oliver. If we base an observation on his recent posts, it would seem that Mr. Drake is losing touch with reality.  It is possible that, already having been on the edge of reality and complete paranoia, Mr. Drake slipped over the edge with the recent arrest of his close ally Jeanette Runyon – arrested in the Ukraine on charges of human trafficking, and pleaded guilty to US charges upon her extradition back to the USA.

IN SUMMARY

We can sum up the review of the TROP website (and associate sites by the same author) and its author in 10 points:

1) Manipulates figures in his List

2) Erroneously assumes motive in his List

3) Exhibits multiple instances of anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim racism

4) Lost his job for founding his racist website on employer’s server

5) Claims to be an IT professional, but analysis shows poor skills

6) Is not hiding from fear of Islamist retaliation, but from District Attorney

7) Recently exhibiting signs of severe paranoia and dissociative disorder

8) His posts are not based on factual information

9) Offers no authoritative links to support his claims

10) Websites contain blatant, very obvious lies, hate speech and racism.

PART 9: AFTERWORD

There is no doubt that religious and political extremists of every kind are causing chaos and violence in today’s world. To ignore this would be beyond foolish, and could cause an even higher rate of violence that we are presently experiencing. However, to single out one group with exaggerations and lies only promotes bigotry and racism, and causes those who are foolish enough to believe the lies to ignore the significant threats from other extremist groups. Such exaggerations and lies encourage violence and the spread of racism, eventually causing more terrorism, as it gives confirmation to the propaganda campaign of Usama bin Laden, who is trying to convince mainstream Muslims that the West is trying to destroy their religion. The TROP site conveniently overlooks the thousands of Muslim leaders who have publicly condemned terrorism, violence and suicide bombing, it ignores the more than 100,000 Muslim-American members of the US Armed Forces who put their lives on the line in defense of America and in helping those who are unable to help themselves; it ignores the Muslim countries that are American allies in the global war on terror; and it attempts to send America back into our shameful past of racism and bigotry.

In the time I have spent evaluating the many types of racists, I have found them to have various motivations: money, revenge, and/or mental illness are the most prevalent. The TROP site seems to be a combination of the desire for money mixed with mental illness as its motivation.
