Another Update on Horowitz's Racism Week

At Emory University, David Horowitz was booed off the stage by students who obviously weren't ready to welcome racists and hate speech to their University.

What's Horowitz's response? In his article at
Leftist Brown Shirts Shut Down Horowitz Speech at Emory (and in an accompanying email) he accuses the students of being leftists, "brown shirts", fascists, liberals, Communists, thugs and “absolutely insane.”

(I suspect that Horowitz is either lying or he failed to understand that when the students were chanting "Heil Hitler" they were directing it as Horowitz's own neo-Nazi tactics, funding and association.)

Horowitz also says:

Armed with many resources provided by groups such as the David Horowitz Freedom Center, conservatives must continue to advance their message on campus. By all indications they are doing just that, as over 100 campuses across America are hosting speeches, film screenings, and other events this week as part of the Terrorism Awareness Project. “Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week has been very effective across the country, and even our opposition demonstrates that,” said Horowitz, reflecting on Wednesday’s debacle at Emory. “We’ve already won this debate.”

According to the schedule published on Horowitz's own site, his group of racists is speaking at only 26 campuses. Yet here (above) he is still falsely claiming 100 campuses. Will someone please lend Mr. Horowitz a basic calculator? (Nothing fancy, he seems to be easily confused.) Also, let's add Mr. Horowitz to our "send a racist a dictionary" list, as he clearly does not understand the definition of the word "won."

Of course, Horowitz won't miss any opportunity to scam you out of more money. At the same time he's writing about the "success" of his racist campaign, he's also sending out a mass mailing stating, in part:

"Not surprisingly, the left is also organizing - to kill Islamo Fascism Awareness Week and silence the vital truths it will tell. The powerful American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee is intimidating university administrations all over the country into canceling the events our campus coordinators have set up. The Muslim Students Association, campus arm of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, is planning disruptive actions to drown out our message. And most alarming of all, the Revolutionary Communist Party and other radical groups have promised violent confrontations that put our speakers in physical danger.

Our speakers have been threatened and attacked in their effort to tell the truth about Islamo Fascism. I'm writing to you today because we need your help to guarantee their safety during Islamo Fascism Awareness Week."

Perhaps someone could help Horowitz understand some basics of politics. First, leftists cannot, by definition, be fascists, they are at opposite ends of the political spectrum. Secondly, Communist and Nazi ideology are mutually exclusive. It's ironic, in almost every article by these hate mongers about their being greeted with skepticism at best, or being booed off the stage, or being completely banned from most campuses, the hate mongers claim that those who oppose them are "racists", who are stifling "freedom of speech" (even though freedom of speech has no application in this particular situation, see Hate Speech vs. Free Speech entry, this blog), and offer nothing but insults to those who do not welcome Horowitz's brand of racism with open arms.
