FOEHAMMER'S ANVIL MELTS UNDER THE BRIGHT LIGHT OF SCRUTINY
IMPORTANT NOTE: Every bit of information in this report is available at open websites, as of the date of this report. Nothing has been gathered from private sources, and all information herein is in the public domain, easily accessible through search engines. All websites mentioned in this report have been archived, in case Foehammer decides to try to alter or remove information after the report becomes public. Also note that just prior to posting this article, I emailed Foehammer and again suggested that he “retire” his hate speech sites, sort of a last chance. He clearly understood that it was a last chance, and refused.
WHO IS FOEHAMMER?
Foehammer is the nom de guere of an Internet writer, author of several blogs and websites, who is well known for his claimed stance of “Truth-not Islam”. His blogs introduce themselves with this:
“Welcome to the Anvil. You’re about to enter the fight in a way that most are too afraid to even discuss. This is not a site for the faint-hearted infidel, so if the idea of discovering the truth about Islam and the ‘Long War’ frightens you, turn back now. Otherwise, come on in and make use of the information here, participate, learn and educate.”
Foehammer likens himself to some videogame mythological character, fighting “evil” with his hammer. When Foehammer is not blogging, he’s playing video games, especially World of Warcraft, from which he takes his name. As will be shown, there is very little truth in Foehammer’s writings, and the only thing to be learned is how to irrationally hate.
Foehammer, as will be shown, is an extremely arrogant, prideful person, who believes that he knows more than anyone who disagrees with him, that his “grey matter” is far superior to that of others.
This is the usual hubris seen from almost all hate monger sites. We know from history that the same level of arrogance was exhibited by Ghengis Kahn, Adolph Hitler, John Wayne Gacy, AILEEN WUORNOS, , and the Son of Sam. All were arrogant, all were sexually frustrated, some had a habit of abusing little children. They all thought they were the absolute authority on what was right, no matter what the law said. They all thought they were above the law, yet look where they ended up.
Now, what may be shocking to some readers (but we’ve seen it before) is that there is credible evidence that Foehammer, who is an anti-Muslim racist, is also a neo-Nazi, White Supremacist. This is being further investigated, results will be posted when the investigation is finalized.
Foehammer wants to remove the First Amendment from our Constitution so that the religion of Islam can be banned, so that Muslims can be either forcibly deported from the USA or locked in concentration camps, yet he continually claims First Amendment protection for his own hate speech. It has been clearly explained to him that the First Amendment does not have any effect on private parties or corporations blocking or banning hate speech, and does not block the government from enforcing laws about the effects of hate speech, but that “superior grey matter” (to which he frequently lays claim) must be malfunctioning, because he cannot seem to understand such a simple concept.
Let’s look at some interesting background facts first, then we’ll get into some specific examples of his hate speech and bigotry. This background information will help lead us to who Foehammer really is.
AGE CLAIMS
Most likely as part of his attempts to remain anonymous, Foehammer claims a variety of ages, 40 years old at http://foehammersanvil.stumbleupon.com/ , 53 years old at http://myspace.com/foehammer5 (just one of his many MySpace mirrors) . His level of writing skills, his temper tantrums, and his penchant for video games places him at a literacy level of closer to 18 or 19 years old than 40. Since he posts day and night, odds are that he’s either unemployed or a student on summer break.
LOCATION CLAIMS
Again, most likely as part of his attempts to remain anonymous, Foehammer claims he’s in a variety of locations. At http://foehammersanvil.stumbleupon.com/ he claims he’s in Washington, D.C. At http://foehammer.net/2007/07/foehammer-clangs-on-the-anvil-to-get-sutters-attention.html Foehammer says he’s in Texas.
ANONYMITY CLAIMS
Foehamer has worked hard to remain anonymous, thinking that the Internet will provide him with some sort of invisibility. Foehammer claims his biography is no one business. He claims this is because his “exposure of the evils of Islam will bring death threats or beheading.” When I asked Foehammer if he could cite one person in the USA who has been beheaded because of their “exposure of Islam” he couldn’t cite one instance. Some racists have been criminally prosecuted on charges of inciting violence or conspiracy to deny civil rights (as noted in other articles in this blog), and that is definitely a possibility with Foehammer, but I’m not in charge of that, it’s way above my pay grade. I explained quite some time ago to Foehammer the specific statutes he may be violating, and he chose not to care.
In all of my work exposing neo-Nazis, Islamophobes, White Supremacists, homophobes, far right-wing extremists, Islamist extremists and even terrorists, I do occasionally receive death threats and threats of violence. But do you see me hiding my true name? This blog not only contains my true name, it also includes a link to my biography. My email is signed with my real name and hometown. I do this because I am not ashamed of my work, and if someone wants to threaten me, so be it. I am not worried about threats, because deep down, every single one of the hate mongers I expose is a coward.
If someone is going to fight for a cause, why do it while hiding from an enemy, imagined or otherwise? It is a fact that there are violent Islamist extremists in the world, some even in the USA, but Foehammer cannot produce a threat from any of them, he cannot even show that any have noticed his ravings. So why hide? If one is going to advocate for a cause, come out in the open and show everyone who you are. Could it be because Foehammer is afraid of being arrested for his incitement to violence, his calls for ethnic cleansing, his calls to deny civil rights? Or is it just plain old cowardice? IMO, it’s basically plain old cowardice. But there’s a further reason for the cowardice - once I discovered who Foehammer really is, I grew to believe he has remained anonymous because he doesn’t want his friends or fans (not his hate site fans, his other fans) to realize he’s a racist, when the public face he puts forth is a laid-back peaceful kind of “every-guy”. I guarantee it will shock his fans. More on that later.
Of course, Foehammer claims I’m “threatening” him when I advise him that his postings could be considered as violations of federal statutes, the laws of other countries against hate speech (see http://hatewatchhallofshame.blogspot.com/2007/07/hate-speech-vs-free-speech.html for the laws of other countries, along with US laws.) Foehammer has, on more than one occasion, threatened to sue me for exposing hate speech, as recently as today. Here we are again, with his claim to "Free Speech protection", but as is typical with hate mongers, no one else gets to exercise Free Speech, not Muslims, not critics, not those who expose his hate speech. So if he wants to sue me, he has the right to try. In the US legal system, anyone can sue anyone else, the trick is in winning. If he wishes to sue me for defamation or any civil action, Foehammer will have to come to Ohio to sue under Ohio defamation laws, which have a very strict and very high bar to meet, because the Ohio Supreme Court refuses to docket out of state cases (in other words, Ohio courts refuse to recognize or enforce lawsuits and/or judgments from other states, they must be tried or retried in Ohio courts under Ohio law.) Since the truth is an absolute defense, I’m not worried.

Back to the Anonymity
At http://foehammer.net/about/ Foehammer claims:

I rich? Am I poor? Am I black or white, Hispanic or otherwise?
Does it matter?
I work from anonymity for one primary reason, but not the only reason; and that primary reason is to protect myself, my friends, my family, my neighbors and my associates from the very real danger of retaliation for the truth I deal with here on the Anvil. In all likelihood, my real identity will come to light at some point. When that happens, so be it. But for now, I’m wise enough and knowledgeable enough about the true nature and intent of jihadists and Islamists to realize that, without exception, we are all in mortal danger when we speak loudly enough about Islam.
The problems with Foehammer’s claim (above) is that, as is shown herein, he does not speak about Islam, he speaks, or rather rants, about some perverted version of Islam that he claims is the real one. Foehammer’s version of Islam is derived from out-of-context quotes, complete failure to understand even the most basic concepts and definitions, and by parroting the hate speech of other Islamophobes without doing any original research of his own – all signs of intellectual laziness.
FOEHAMMER DENIES HE’S A RACIST:
Foehammer denies he’s a racist because he “doesn’t hate individual Arabs or Muslims” (he just hates them all), yet he admits he hates Islam. Since the adherants of Islam are Muslims, then by definition he is indeed a racist. Foehammer's advocacy for violent actions against Muslims also shows his hatred towards all Muslims.
FOEHAMMER'S TACTICS
Foehammer uses out-of-context cites, repeats rumors and canards from other hate speech sites as if they are facts, has no understanding of the theology of Islam, nor the limits of practice, nor the hierarchy of authority. He will cite the (alleged) bad acts of one Muslim and then apply it to all Muslims. Foehammer routinely calls for ethnic cleansing, genocide, murder, denial of civil rights, removing Constitutional protections, and has even called for civil war in the USA. He has not shown an understanding of even the most basic concepts of Islam or Muslim cultures.

Foehammer’s various sites have already been banned and/or blocked by Digg, Blogger, Technorati, numerous search engines, banned throughout most of Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and many gateways, ISPs, content and URL filtering software, libraries, schools, and just over 63,000,000 web users.

Foehammer brags about having “invaded MySpace” where he posts his anti-Muslim bigotry, hate videos, and music of his own composition. As with other places, Foehammer mirrors his hate speech and his hate videos on MySpace. We’re working to get MySpace to remove the racist music, videos and RSS feeds on Foehammer’s sites. On 8/14/07, MySpace shut down one of Foehammer’s pages, formerly at http://myspace.com/foehammer-5 . He still has other MySpace sites, we’re working one at a time with MySpace adminstrators to have the hate speech removed.
MySpace’s largest user demographic is young teenagers and preteens, and this level of hatred: “Bomb Mecca”, “Deport all Muslims”, “Outlaw Islam”, isn’t something that children should be exposed to, just as pornography and slasher vids aren’t something children should be exposed to.
FOEHAMMER'S WEB HOSTING SERVICE
UPDATE: 2/23/2008 Foehammer's web hosting service, Lunarpages, has given him some not-so-gentle hints that they are tired of his racism. This is quite unusual since Lunarpages readily hosts porn, spam and ads for those pills that extend mens', well, whatever.

It turns out Lunarpages has a reputation for hosting spammers, pornography, neo-Nazis, and those ads about needing magic pills to increase your sex life. Maybe that’s what attracted him? I’ve already explained, extensively, why hate sites can be legally blocked, banned or filtered in the article titled http://hatewatchhallofshame.blogspot.com/2007/07/hate-speech-vs-free-speech.html . I’ve cited the laws, specific recent cases that upheld the laws, the US Supreme Court decision on this, and given verifiable examples of hate speech cases that have been taken to court. The hate mongers are fully aware that all levels of Internet-associated companies have the right to ban or block or filter them, because they’re screaming up a storm now that the blocks are taking effect. Yet they continue to live in their little world of denial, making up claims that it’s “unconstitutional”. (Ironic that Foehammer, a strong advocate for tearing up the US Constitution, is screaming that his Constitutional rights are being violated.)
Even after clearly explaining this to Foehammer, he acts surprised and angered when he found out he is being blocked by ISPs:
The other day I had to make some calls to tech support at Time-Warner/Roadrunner. Wouldn't you know it, but the Anvil was blocked from being viewed at the local office of a RR tech! I'd like to know how Sutter, if he is responsible for this hate campaign (and let there be no doubt that SUTTER IS THE HATER), is not up on hate crime charges and interfering with the 1st Amendment? Apparently all it takes in the USA is to incite fear of Islamic reprisal and corporations and media chains will shut down Free Speech in a "New York minute."
Jim Sutter is a traitor to the United States as far as I'm concerned. He should be up on criminal charges for fraud, hate crimes, identity theft and whatever else a few good FBI agents may find to slap him with.
I know this much -- nothing CAIR or their allies like Jim Sutter can do will ever stop me from speaking out, and they won't stop Robert Spencer or Jihad Watch either. Now, if the police or FBI show up to the homes of Anti-Jihad bloggers and authors and cart them away on "hate crime" charges one day, I just hope that everyone reading here aware of what the ramifications of such actions will be. We'd be talking about a split Union -- a damn civil war in the making.I think it's high time that some law firms started standing up for the rights of this circle of bloggers. And I mean make some serious legal trouble for CAIR and the Jim Sutters of the world. Sue them into oblivion. Sue them until they run back into their caves.

This fight takes a lot. It takes sacrifice. It causes division. It worries your friends and family and neighbors. Let me tell you something — those symptoms right there are all evidence that Islam isn’t any “religion of peace.” And if that’s not enough, the trickle of traffic to this site, despite the fact that I’ve tripled my efforts to find ways to draw traffic here, has left me with no doubt that the Western world is living in a state of dangerous denial.In previous posts, Foehammer has admitted his friends and family are worried about and strongly disagree with his bigotry – it’s not a problem with Islam being a “religion of peace”, they see it as a problem with him needing psychiatric help.
I hardly blame most people for not wanting to visit sites like the Anvil though. There are many days I don’t want to visit it either.
I haven’t quite reached anti-jihad-blogging-burnout yet, but I’m feeling the pain and the fatigue.
Foehammer has noticed his traffic is way down, most likely due to the spreading ban on hate speech sites.

This entire article is a strong criticism of teaching multiculturalism in Middle School, Foehammer even states that his previous article on this caused the students at the school he is singling out to write him in protest of his article. The entire article calls for the stop of this type of teaching, also criticizing multicultural clubs at the school, such as the Gay-Straight Alliance and the Diversity Club (paragraph 8). Diversity is commonly taught in our multicultural society, and is considered one of the cures to racism, however Foehammer comes out very strongly against it. In his last paragraph, shown below, he claims that Islam is a danger to our children, implying that these teachings are some sort of conspiracy to convert children to Islam. This is again, an attempt to deprive Americans of their federally protected civil rights, i.e. education.

In this article, written after the student at Pace University was arrested and charged with hate crimes for throwing a Qur’an in the toilet and defacating on it because he hated Muslims, Foehammer, in paragraphs 2 – 5, offers icons that he created of a Qur’an being thrown in a toilet and encourages the widespread distribution of these, thus encouraging racism and very likely encouraging violence or resulting in further hate crimes. It is interesting to note that the arrested student claims he learned to hate Muslims, and thus committed the hate crimes (to which he has already confessed) on the basis of what he read in a blogsite very, very similar to Foehammer’s, (known as Little Green Footballs).
Foehammer also offers code for inserting these hate icons into a website, these HTML codes could even be used for hackers to place them on Muslim sites. He follows with a large photo of a Qur’an sitting in a toilet (see this on his site.)

Foehammer responds to his critics with ad hominems (insults) and refuses to address facts that are raised. Full Disclosure: I am obviously a critic of Foehammer, as I am of any hate monger, no matter what their claimed ideology. However, instead of trying to respond to any of the facts I raised in objection to Foehammer’s hate speech, he employs his usual tactic of slinging insults. Foehammer has removed all of the posts on his website where I completely refuted his hate-filled claims, and banned me from his site so that I can no longer post common sense, fact-filled logic. I do not care when I am banned from a site, it simply means that the owner does not want to engage in a discussion of the facts of an issue, especially hate speech; I offer this chance before I decide whether to act on it or not. I very carefully keep from posting anything in revenge, as I do not believe in revenge. I keep from listing someone as a hate monger just out of disagreement, as shown previously, I stick to a strict definition. The great number of links in this article will provide absolute verification of facts in this article about Foehammer, and it can be shown that Foehammer was “on my radar” as a hate monger to be exposed long before he began his campaign of insults against me, joining forces with my cyberstalker and repeating her canards and forgeries.

IGNORANCE
In order to keep this from being a book, I’ll just list a few of Foehammer’s examples of ignorance: In reading http://foehammer.net/2007/07/robert-d-crane-is-a-revert-to-islam.html we see Foehammer’s lack of the most basic understanding of Arabic. He uses several opportunities to define “Da’wa” as global conquest, a military campaign, a demographic conquest of the world. Let’s look at what Da’wa really means, shall we?

See anything in any of these definitions about Muslims conquering the world? No? I didn’t either. Maybe we need to add Foehammer to the “Send a Hatemonger a Dictionary” ® campaign.
For as much racist hate speech that Foehammer levels against the religion of Islam and all Muslims, he is actually quite ignorant about the religion of Islam, the cultures and history of Islam, and Muslims in general. For instance, in his article titled “Islam:Cult of Lies” at http://foehammer.net/2005/07/islam-cult-of-lies.html , Foehammer writes:

The Qur'anic verses were originally memorized by Muhammad's companions as Muhammad recited them, with some being written down by one or more companions on whatever was at hand, from stones to pieces of bark. I made it quite clear that if I find proof that he has been behind the machinations that have caused undue distress to bloggers and readers of the Anvil, in addition to the constant libel with which he has already painted me a “hater”, then I will be left with no other choice than to gather a group of Texas lawyers and slap him with a Civil Suit that will bankrupt him.

I could post his actual email here, but it could get me in trouble with Blogger because it’s filled with the type of obscenities you hear on playgrounds. Aside from being extremely narcissistic, Foehammer offers us a perfect example of how he thinks (mistakenly) that Free Speech protects his hate speech from everyone, everywhere, and at the same time no one else has a right to criticize his hate speech.
Bottom Line: Who is Foehammer, and why does he try so diligently to remain anonymous?
As a public service to those who have been the victims of Foehammer’s calls for violence, calls for ethnic cleansing, calls for eliminating the religion of Islam, calls for eliminating America’s protection of Freedom of Religion, let’s just expose who Foehammer really is. Remember that Foehammer told me he’s in Texas? So let’s just check MySpace for a Foehammer in Texas…

You’ll notice here, at Foehammer’s music site, Foehammer tells us he is a composer, musician, writer, and student, (although it also shows he is an unsigned musician – he doesn’t have a contract with any label.) If you go to http://aboutus.org/foehammer.com you will see that Foehammer used to use the email ID of foehammer@xiles.org . This was when his site was registered through a friend of his, Jennifer, of Ormond Beach, FL. Xiles.org is a gamer site. Foehammer dropped off the site in 2005.

A Blast of Sax From the Past I'm still not too sure about that title but oh well... Saxster, the first big-gun on the Outlaws web-range back in "the day," is now heavily involved in Counter-Strike and goes by the name "Foehammer" on sites like http://www.xiles.org/ and http://www.foehammer.net/. Good to see he's still in the web game... game. So anyhow if you run into FH in a Counter-Strike game, be sure to embarrass him in front of all his pals by talkin' "countrified" to him in familiar tones about the old days. I'm sure he'll love it. :)
So, what do we have so far? Foehammer is a gamer (as if we didn’t already know that) who used to live in FL. Remember he said - several times - he’s currently in Texas. He has, or had, an email ID or foehammer@xile.org, and is well known as a gamer under the name of “Saxster.” We also know by his own statements, he's a "composer, musician, writer and student" and we also know he's an unsigned musician (he hasn't signed a contract with any record label.)

He shows that he’s attending the University of Texas at Austin. He also states “I'm an online gaming legend! Just call me Lord of the Effen Geeks, baby! “ He also gives us a bit of a bio under the heading of another URL, of http://www.myspace.com/johnlatemple , where he further explains his move from FL to TX. On the same page, if you click under his photo, where it says “Photos”, you will get to http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=17207035&albumId=0 and see at the far right a little video of him at the Alachua Music Harvest in Gainesville, FL. So now we have Foehammer (who just wrote me from MySpace to acknowlege that is indeed his name), who is from FL, now living in TX, an unsigned musician, loves video games, is a college student on summer break.
We found Foehammer, folks. He is a 40 year old college student (working on his Masters)named John LaTemple, a saxophone player (a pretty good one, too) in Austin, TX. His photo is on his pages. He chose to publish his photos, not me. All you have to do is go to these publicly available pages to find his information. BTW, he claims he has a trademark on the name “John LaTemple”, I carefully checked, and he does not have any current, past or pending trademark on the name.
Mr. LaTemple also uses email address of saxster@mindspring.com as shown at http://www.theoutlawdad.com/maps/fort_ml.txt . And what a surprise, he uses Lunarpages as his host here, too!
